Незалежні кліматологи з організації Climate Central наголошують, що екстремальна спека триватиме з 11 по 13 червня 2024 року на Близькому Сході, у Середземномор’ї та Північній Африці. Вчені зазначають, що аномальний рівень температури пов’язаний зі зміною клімату та безпосередньою діяльністю людини. В середині липня 2024 року страждати від безпрецедентної спеки будуть понад 290 мільйонів людей у зазначених регіонах. Україна теж потрапила у зону температурного ризику, погода у ці дні буде сухою та спекотною. На Півдні прогнозують понад 40 градусів тепла. В Укргідрометцентрі пояснюють, що така спека пов’язана з поширенням на територію України тропічного повітря з півночі Африки. 40-41° – це близько до абсолютних максимумів температури, зафіксованих в Україні за всю історію спостережень. МНС України нагадує про необхідність дотримання заходів безпеки під час спеки: пити багато води, уникати прямих сонячних променів, прикривати голову головними уборами та віддавати перевагу одягу з натуральних тканин.

Extreme temperature as a result of human activity
Independent climatologists from the organization Climate Central emphasize that extreme heat will last from June 11 to 13, 2024 in the Middle East, the Mediterranean and North Africa. Scientists note that the abnormal temperature level is related to climate change and direct human activity. In mid-July 2024, more than 290 million people in these regions will suffer from unprecedented heat. Ukraine has also entered the zone of temperature risk, the weather will be dry and hot these days. More than 40 degrees of heat are forecast in the South. The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center explains that such heat is connected with the spread of tropical air from northern Africa to the territory of Ukraine. 40-41° is close to the absolute maximum temperature recorded in Ukraine throughout the history of observations. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Ukraine reminds of the need to observe safety measures during the heat: drink plenty of water, avoid direct sunlight, cover your head with hats and prefer clothes made of natural fabrics.
