Ціни представлених на ярмарку робіт коливалися від €333 до €8 172. Організатори провели 11 закритих заходів для колекціонерів, 15 публічних подій і три професійні заходи для художників та галеристів.

Ключовою темою цьогорічного Foto Tallinn стала довіра до фотографії в епоху штучного інтелекту та цифрових маніпуляцій. В інтерв’ю балтійському мистецькому виданню Arterritory художня директорка ярмарку Ліліан Гіоб-Кюттіс (Lilian Hiob-Küttis) наголосила, що сучасна фотографія сьогодні є насамперед інструментом критичного мислення: «Що є постановкою, що документом, що справжнім, а що згенерованим?» Саме тому міжнародне журі — Анна Телльгрен (Anna Tellgren) з Moderna Museet у Стокгольмі, Єппе Угельвіг (Jeppe Ugelvig), Марґо Самель (Margot Samel) та Сара Джуліаттіні (Sara Giuliattini) — відібрало проєкти, які працюють не лише з фотографічним зображенням, а й з інсталяцією, книжкою, архівом і матеріальністю самої світлини.

Foto Tallinn Emerges as the Baltic Region’s Most Successful Photography Fair
Tallinn has closed the 12th international contemporary photography fair Foto Tallinn 2026 with the strongest results in the project’s history. According to Estonia’s public broadcaster ERR, attendance nearly doubled compared with the previous edition, while the fair’s art-market turnover rose by 62 per cent. Over three days, 48 works by 20 artists were sold. The fair brought together 16 galleries, 15 independent artists and 45 artists from 15 countries, spanning the Baltic and Nordic regions as well as the UK, Italy and Ukraine. Works on offer ranged in price from €333 to €8,172. The programme also included 11 closed events for collectors, 15 public events and three professional sessions for artists and galleries.
Trust in photography in the age of artificial intelligence and digital manipulation was one of the defining questions of this year’s Foto Tallinn. In an interview with the Baltic art publication Arterritory, the fair’s artistic director Lilian Hiob-Küttis argued that contemporary photography has increasingly become a tool for critical thinking: what is staged, what is documentary, what is real and what has been generated? Against this backdrop, an international jury comprising Anna Tellgren of Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Jeppe Ugelvig, Margot Samel and Sara Giuliattini selected projects that extend beyond the photographic image itself, embracing installation, the photobook, archival material and the physicality of the photographic medium.
Estonian and international art media have increasingly positioned Foto Tallinn as one of Northern Europe’s most dynamic platforms for contemporary photography. Executive director Kadi-Ell Tähiste told ERR that the fair deliberately “invests not in scale, but in quality”, while the response from collectors and international art professionals pointed to growing confidence in its model. Arterritory, meanwhile, has highlighted Foto Tallinn’s role in developing a new generation of collectors and strengthening the Baltic art market. The fair’s organisers also stress its distinctive position as Estonia’s only international fair dedicated entirely to contemporary photography. With attendance nearly doubling, sales rising and an increasingly international programme, Foto Tallinn 2026 marked a significant moment for photography and the art market in the Baltic region.
